In the wake of the attack at Fort Hood, and the daily attacks on our service members in the Middle East, Veterans Day holds special importance.

Let us all take a moment this Veterans Day to remember and acknowledge that we are a free people because of the sacrifice and dedication of our veterans. My PaPa, Sam Blagg, served in the engine room of the aircraft carrier USS Ranger during WWII as a machinist's mate. My dad proudly served in the US Air Force. All of us can point to our own service or that of close family. Veterans Day is personal to all of us. Dad, PaPa, and all those like them across the country, thank you.
